"Stay in the fight"-what fight? Were they engaged in combat? NO. They were, at worst, drug smugglers. Not combatants. Once the 1st rocket hit the were (at best) hors de combat (and thus non-combatants) or were NEVER combatants (and thus non-combatants). So, murder or a war crime. Take your pick.
