The University of Maryland basketball arena used to be the Cole Fieldhouse, and now it's the Xfinity Center. It should obviously be Terrapin Station!

These Peace prize shenanigans remind me of when Robert Kraft of the Patriots met Putin who asked to try on his Super Bowl ring and then didn't give it back. @kentremendous.bsky.social

Having bands named Goose and Geese is kind of like the 90's when we had Counting Crows and Black Crowes.

So...the last scene of Planet of the Apes (sorry, spoiler alert for a movie >50 years old) shows the Statue of Liberty on the beach. Implying a nuclear war of some kind. Is the idea that the statue was dislodged and relocated to another beach someplace else?

Chocolate Sundae. Marshmallow Overcoat. Richard Manuel's (made up) examples of band names in the psychedelic 60's.

Robbie Robertson: "16 years on the road. Goddamn impossible way of life. I couldn't imagine 20 years." Trey Anastasio: "Hold my beer." (Trey actually referenced this quote from The Last Waltz" at some point, how 16 was nothing. Let's just say that the conditions were different in the late 50's!

Two of the finest concert movies are the Grateful Dead Movie and the Last Waltz. Both filmed at Winterland. Both start with songs that were from the END of the concert: GD was the 10/19/74 U.S. Blues, which was the encore, and LW starts with Don't Do It, which was the last one the Band played.

How come Quentin didn't actually make the fictional TV show "Fox Force Five", mentioned in Pulp Fiction?

The Last Waltz movie was recorded on Thanksgiving 1976 and released on April 26, 1978. Wouldn't it have been a no-brainer to release it on a Thanksgiving weekend?

What is Johnny Goode’s middle name? What does the “b” stand for? Brian? Benjamin? Bartholomew?

Saw ZZ Top in Albuquerque last night at a casino. Billy sounds great and still shreds on guitar. They have so many great songs. And I finally got to see La Grange which I missed at my first Phish show because i had to leave right before the encore. But the concert last night lasted only 75 min!!

Here's the last three times played average score for each of the shows in the late summer tour. Basically a measure of how rare the songs were that night. Overall, the last part of the tour had fewer rare songs than the earlier summer tour. Data from @zzyzx.bsky.social and his ihoz.com
