Just yesterday someone undertook me after a merge and I didn't spot their gray/silver car until they were alongside me even though I was aware it existed because I'd seen it was going to end up behind me in the merge.

Slightly less historical, but weird enough in and if itself. Victor Grignard's wikipédia page intro contains this sentence "He also wrote some of his experiments in his laboratory notebooks." without any context.

So timely given a grad student spent the better part of a couple of months unable to generate any evidence of organozinc formation.

Yeah, pretty sure we found out about Canada from a immigration officer who was kind enough to let family through on a visa waiver (that was technically void because they were a citizen)

Canada has had this 'problem' going back a while so Emma has to maintain two passports... and they recently changed their citizenship rules so that our daughters now qualify as Canadians too 🫠
