And to clarify further, this is specifically talking about youtube tags. Those tags are only meant for the algorithm. Users don't see it.

To be clear, this WAS useful 10 or some odd years ago, but youtube doesn't really need tags to understand what's inside your content. It analyzes your thumbnail/title/music/script so it the extra context that tags add are a drop in the bucket at that point in terms of info it can use.
