I have an intense nostalgia for the GBC ports of 1-3, which use the pleasing soundchip tones of the onboard hardware.
Once I left the GBC the contrast between either full orchestra or the worst midi you have ever heard has always been jarring for me.

I think, as someone who enjoys games a lot, and is very invested in them, I want to play a game and have it make me feel and think something sometimes.
And its a great time to be alive because I have been getting that a lot.
The need to feel something is sophisticated seems misguided.
