For me the worst is, It'd be nice if Platner started a fund for hate watch orgs. That'd be some amends for the stupidity. But if people double down and support him, we might not be able to say we're different from Republicans who let young staffers tell edgy jokes because youthful indiscretions.

I get how people are in denial over Platner, but a GQ profile a couple weeks ago said he was always into military history. His former campaign officer said the same. Every SS officer he'd have read about would've had that skull over every face. He fucked up. You deserved better.

Elon's never espoused neo-reactionary ideology openly, and he and Peter Thiel have famously not gotten along. But I see him as in line with a lot of neo-reactionary ideas. I'm convinced Elon's convinced people suck and democracy is the worst form of government. 1/
