This is another ludicrous Vanceism from an illogical twit. Notwithstanding constitutionally protected freedoms, Vance holds unschooled views about the rights of athletes to express political views but remains silent on the rights of Americans to render opinions about athletic performance. Laughable!

In fact, the usual WH meeting of governors with the president during the annual meeting of governors was canceled by their association because the darkly political president restricted his invitation to Republican governors only. Makes absurd Vance's peevish admonition meant to chasten athletes.

Why? For what purpose? Some misguided craving for personal agrandizement, perhaps? What's certain is giant flag poles, Mara-a-lago style patios, oversized dance halls, and now an arch that will dominate the Washington skyline aren't going to make any American lives better. Sure won't fix inflation.
February 10, 2026 at 5:17 PM
Probably what Trump was referencing was his animus toward Epstein for poaching Mar-a-Lago's young female employees. It's always about victimhood and personal offense with him.

Trump: "Nobody understands a word this guy is saying..." Pure wisdom from America's Data Savant. Spanish speakers form about 8% of the world population, 635 million in all. If 135 million saw the SB half-time show, maybe 11 million were Spanish speakers. 11 million nobodies, in Trump's racist mind.

All well and good to acknowledge what he is. The question that begs a response is what will be done to excise the malgnant tumor.

Trump is simply too old to get Bad Bunny. He's stuck in 1978 when the Village People recorded YMCA and dances like he's got an icky load filling his Depends. He's too curmudgeonly to get artists who are hip and trending. No Bad Bunny fans leave their dentures in a glass of water by the bed at night.
February 9, 2026 at 7:20 PM
Guess who is the only voice to trash Bad Bunny's historic salute to his heritage. Yup. You've got it. The immature brain with the slowest synapses in the Western world.

Beware America. This is an example of totalitarian overreach that eventually, and yet inevitably leads to the decline and failure of empires.

Truman sat at the Resolute Desk; the desk that he styled as the desk where the buck stops: the desk where presidential responsibility meets expectation. Trump clearly has never absorbed that lesson as he is noted for never taking responsibility for any presidential responsibility gone astray.

Vance is the strongest reason I can think of for exercising forbearance concerning the invocation of the 25th Amendment, Section 4 against Trump. What to do about the current president is a Gordian knot.

From the time Trump and his father faced charges by the NYC housing authority for racial profiling in their rental practices, it's hard not to see his racism as something as ugly as that of folks from Alabama or Mississippi. It's not hard to imagine him attending a KKK cross burning or lynching.

Caught a TV shot of Vance and Usha at their Peter Principle ceiling this evening, grinning like Cheshire cats that had never been eaten by Haitians, as they happily waved American flags when the USA athletes passed by at the Olympic opening ceremonies. It was a darling moment that made Memaw proud.

Man, his camo costume almost makes him invisible against a back drop of concrete. Amazing, the number of Navy Seal wannabees who got by the thorough, vigilant ICE recruiters, isn't it?

2/2 The 12's will not be amused if this corporate chop saw gets anywhere close to Seahawk personnel decisions, especially if he makes it a priority to break up the current group. Status does not phase him. The WP used to be one of the world's premier newspapers, but for Bezos, maximizing ROI rules.

An appeal to Jody Allen. Before talking to potential investors, please read the brilliant exposé by Ashley Parker in The Atlantic (The Murder of the Washinton Post). It's a sad tale of the way Jeff Bezos eviscerated the professional staff and closed the sports department entirely. 1/2

Trump has ended two previous marriages with new liaisons, and the wives he cast aside would probably agree with him while he was speaking to a man whose wife died only a week ago, "A good marriage is better than a bad marriage." Yes, it is, Mr. Sensitivity. Even your current wife might agree.
February 4, 2026 at 4:28 PM
Perhaps the one awe-inspiring characteristic Trump exhibits is his quixotic hubris when he pillaries some distant suspect whose offenses pale when compared to Trump, who is far and away the most offensive offender identified.

For the sake of his shareholders, it would seem Musk has more substantive issues to wrestle with at SpaceX, xAI, and Tesla than bothering to reflect on the rumor a black actress plays Helen of Troy in a soon to be released film, albiet a matter of critical importance to a white, South African male.

Keep up the good work, Nate. Trump's approvals will not satisfy until they hit zero, and he's punted into the ash heap of history or slowly lowered into the ground. That's the value best assigned to his approval as president, his course, vengeful personality, and his global hostility.
February 4, 2026 at 2:33 PM
Spot on. Russia once again demonstrates that its system of justice administration is tempered by proportional sentencing. Six years imprisonment for a political joke. Trump will no doubt instruct US federal courts to follow suit. Proportional jail time for all bad guys. Well, almost all bad guys.
February 4, 2026 at 2:08 PM
Canada needs to continue doing what it does now. It would be political suicide to move national police authority to control by the PMO rather than maintaining the status quo: a largely independent RCMP. The US needs to dissolve DHS and vest border security in a professional, independent DoJ and FBI.
February 4, 2026 at 1:56 PM
He's also personally responsible for the appointment of Trump's three nominees to the Supreme Court in his first term, and must take responsibility by association for the court's decision in the presidential immunity case that unlocked the cage that had constrained Trump up to that point.

Hand wringing is the preoccupation of choice in Congress; not decisive action, and Schmmer is the Dems Hand Wringer in Chief. Don't look for a knight in shining armour on a white charger to ride to certain victory of good over evil... on both sides of the aisle. The Dems cooperate and the GOP obeys.

East coast English-speaking Canadians called the pre-ICE (1755-1763) deportation of Acadiens to Louisiana by the British The Expulsion of the Acadiens. Today, French-speaking Acadiens refer to it as Le Grand Dérangement. Translated as the Great Upheaval or Dislocation. Cajuns is slang for Acadiens.
