I really like the Sanderling. Kurt Sanderling that is. Same choice as Hurwitz: www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdvV...

I agree, the sound is simply gorgeous! Will listen to the 1st now cause I don't remember this recording well! But their 4th remains my go-to recording up until this day!

I saw this post on Reddit a few hours ago. One of the Bluesky developers talking about this issue with a link to report it:

I only created my account 2 weeks ago. I remember I was flooded by these kinds of posts. So I did what I described above and I remember the next day I kept seeing them. I took a hiatus for a week and now that I've come back, there are none on my Discover section. So maybe it takes some time?

What worked for me was this (I also found these posts irrelevant and annoying): While on the "Discover" tab, I kept clicking on the 3 dots below each such post and selecting "I want to see less like these" (or something similar). I hope this helps!

Oh wow, I wasn't expecting anyone to mention Bruckner!!! A favourite of mine.

I think you should write a book on Holst's music! People should really get to know the works better. I know I should! Don't know much apart from the Planets. Oh, let me rephrase that: Don't know much apart from Mars!

I absolutely love the set. And as much as I admire Rattle's remake with the BPO, I keep coming back to some recordings from the Birmingham set.

If this had been my first exposure to classical music, I am sure I would have fallen in love with it instantly.

I forced myself to listen to a Karajan CD of Beethoven's 5th and 6th (DG 60s set) because I wanted to start appreciating "highbrow" music and real art. Coming from pop and rock, I hated it. It took me 3 listening attempts, and I was hooked! It helped that it came with notes explaining the music.

I think this specific recording was my intro to classical music!
