Bread-and-butter suffering can not be authentically addressed by people who have their bread and butter delivered.

I voted for Harris. though I could not defend her positions on foreign policy , and I know people who did not vote for her for that reason. I told to them that while her policies where shameful, Trump would be worse.

One of my main wax suppliers (IGI, headquartered in Canada) confirmed that they only produce the wax I use in their Canadian facility, but that they have two facilities in the US that they might shift production to in order to escape the tariffs. However, the raw material still comes from China...

Tomorrow I get to call my suppliers of certain raw materials ( high-grade paraffin wax, and "joss" sticks - unscented incense) that I depend on to see if prices will be affected. Some of the joss sticks may come from Viet Nam or Taiwan and some paraffin from Japan. But prices may still rise.

During the Biden administration, when gas prices rose, a little, during the pandemic, Trump trolls placed stickers on gas pumps with an image of Biden pointing to the meter and the caption; "I did this". If gas prices increase thanks to the tariffs, where can I find similar Trump stickers?

Targeting immigrants is not about protecting workers or communities. It is about weakening and dividing the working class, putting downward pressure on wages, undermining political power among people of color, and satisfying the cackling hyenas that are cheering this on.

Waiting to see whether tariffs on goods from Canada and China will crush my business, and whether repealing the extended solar tax credits will cost me over $20k. Will the company that installed our solar array survive if costs go up 25% and demand drops?
