I am sorry that today I must report a tragedy:
Last night I was feeling tired and unmotivated and did not clean my dishes.
And so this morning my French Press was in cleaned and I had to do dishes before making coffee.

Hot take: post-rationalists are still rationalists cladistically. Sometimes there are people who think like the post-rats but that’s a case of convergent evolution, much like how biological evolution keeps spitting out “crabs.”

Further evidence that I am old: I no longer have sex fantasies. Nowadays it’s all “making her dinner,” “rubbing her back while she falls asleep,” and “sitting on the couch together doing other stuff.”

Knowing exactly what you want is great.
Taking steps to get it is a lot of hard work.
It can be hard to keep putting in effort if success is not assured.
Doubly so if what you want cannot be earned or even asked for but merely invited.
But failure is unthinkable, so I must press on.
