I have some very sad news. Around 1:40am early Wednesday morning, Thor quietly passed away at home.

I hate that I am posting this everywhere, I am just trying to cover my bases.

Thor had a progressive heart disease and a gnarly cancer.

I am heartbroken and lost. Rest easy my sweet boy.

I'm currently in an area experiencing such extreme and serious drought.

Our well has run dry so we've been using bottled water. The limited water we can get delivered has to be used so carefully.

I'm grateful we have the resources to manage this, but fuck if this isn't challenging to manage.

I would guess that this is one in the same, as the Triple Goddess is the concept of the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone. The idea is essentially that these are the three stages of a woman's development and the cycle of life, and they connect it to the moon cycles as well.

While some of you may say "but that calls to me and feels right" and I hear you, but to rewrite ancient Goddesses to match neopagan belief systems is to erase the cultures they are from.

Don't call this concept ancient. In these cultures, the concept of the Triple Goddess did not exist.

Hekate is not a Triple Goddess.
Brigid is not a Triple Goddess.
The Cailleach is not a Triple Goddess.
The Morrigan is not a Triple Goddess.

The Triple Goddess is a neopagan concept created by a poet in the 20th century to mimic the Holy Trinity of Christianity.

These Goddesses are far older.

The Celts never referred to the equinox as Mabon.

In 1973 an American witch created a neopagan calendar. He disliked that it lacked balance between the equinox and the solstice, so he named them himself: Mabon and Litha.

Use the calendar you wish, but don't call Mabon an ancient celebration.

I get anxious when I tell some1 new I have OCD , bc i’m afraid they interpret that as a “silly haha, I have OCD”, rather than I have a debilitating mental disorder that makes life really hard & i’m trying to communicate that by sharing my diagnosis
