Last night, participants got to see instruments in action, from systems that control light fluctuations to devices that measure photosynthetic parameters! 🔬💡🪴

Our @horizoneu.bsky.social summer school and workshop brings together physicists and biologists to come closer to understand photosynthesis.
People around a plant with small sensors and LEDs blinking. People look at a plant measuring software showing data from a potted plant. People gathering around a large metallic display shining a strong blue light onto a small rosemary plant that, in turn, shows red fluorescence. Many photosynthesis measuring devices displayed on a table, including a scale model of a portable shipping container modified to house high-tech plant-growing technologies.

High energy costs still challenge indoor farming, but our #EUfunded project sees potential for progress.
We are developing methods to optimize indoor lighting for plants based on their photosynthesis dynamics. 🌱💡
