What we are seeing in the Jimmy Kimmel situation is many of our neighbors and even friends deep down do not value us, do not respect us and would be quite happy to eliminate us from their lives. They are showing you who they truly are inside. Do not ignore this. Do not act like it's acceptable.

I broke off a relationship with someone I had been friends with for 30 years. I tried hard over the last few years to salvage it, but they've gone so for down the Trump rabbit hole they've lost the ability to critically think and reason. They're toxic now and I can't continue to endure their poison.
