Yeah... yeah that seems pretty coated and cooked. Typical Dreki cooking, way too dang much for one snek to eat in a reasonable time. Half is going into the freezer to thaw next week for meals and stretch it out. Closeup. Cachews didn't completely turn to puree but what can you expect from a food processor. Besides, cachews killed your last blender, and you haven't gotten around to getting a replacement. Make some rice too, scoop some portions, devour. yum yum yummmmmm

Can you spot the point in which I realized I hadn't considered the volume of sauce, plus veggies, in the context of my saucepan?

Didn't think to spit it into two batches until far too late and I'm still kicking myself.
After heating the tomato puree and mixing in spices, incorporate the cachew puree which definitely isnt too much. Also, dont think about what all the extra cachews do to the consistency of the sauce and ease of coating the veggies later. Add the frozen peas and stir for a few minutes as they defrost Transfer everything to a stock pot because you're about to add all the boiled veggies and there's no way they'll fit in the saucepan. Try not to panic, fail, panic, and get ready for your bicep workout as you frantically stir everything to coat it with the sauce and also keep things from sitting at the bottom and burning. You do this for 10~15 minutes because the heating is messed up due to not being in a wide sauce-pan base.

Second, I must once again apologize to Indian Cuisine for my many crimes. I've decided to call this Vibe Korma because it started by glancing at Veg Korma recipes to get a starting point, and then went completely off the rails.
Recipe in first image.
Diced veggies, broken up broccoli, de-cobbed sweet corn. 5 medium gold potaytoes (diced) 4 lg Carrots (Sliced) 3 heads of brocoli (broken up, stems quartered) 1lb of green beans, frenched and sliced to equal sizes 4 corn on the cob (removed from cob) 1lb frozen peas 1.5~2 cup? of Raw Cachews 1 cup Coconut Milk Spices 1 tbsp Garam Masala 2 tbsp Curry Powder 1 tsp tumeric 1 tsp coriander 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp cayenne 1/2 tsp black pepper 3 tsp salt [This is the part you forgot to get Brown Sugar] 1 tbsp granulated sugar :) 1 tbsp cocoa powder :) Put cachews in a bowl of boiling hot water to soak while doing other prep. Corn: Preheat oven 400F. Tossed in some butter and salt+pepper before spreading on aluminum foil. Baked for 10m, stir and flatten, 5m more and then set aside. Potato, Carrot, Broccoli, green beans, boiled for 10~15m then strained. 1 lg yellow onion garlic ~2in of ginger 14oz can of tomatos Blend/food processor into puree Put tomato puree + spices in pan, stir 2~3min until fragrant/heated Drain cachews, then use the coconut milk to blend/food process into puree. Add cachew puree to sauce pan and mix. Realize at this point your sauce pan is too small and maybe you shouldnt have used however much was the whole bag of cachews. Add the peas and let it simmer so they defrost a bit, 1~2 minutes, then add the boiled vegies to the mixture. Likely moving to your giant stock pot because your saucepan, again, is too dang small and you didn't think to split cooking everything into two batches until too late. Frantically get your bicep workout in churning and stirring things trying to get everything to heat evenly and not sit at the bottom to burn. Low, simmer heat for ~10 minutes, adding water to thin it out as desired. Taste and add seasonings, because you also didnt think about the added volume of veggies/other ingredients throwing off how much to put in the sauce originally and now its kind of thin. Put over rice and dig in because its still yummy. Left: Cachew + Coconut milk puree Right: Tomato, Onion, Garlic, Ginger puree Boiled Veggies, taken from the hot tub and cooled Spice mixture thats definitely enough and not at all lacking because you totally accounted for all the extra volume of veggies and sauce so it'll absolutely be well-spread. Also, you forgot Brown Sugar. Decide that equal parts granulated sugar and cocoa powder is a substitute and go with that.

First up, my usual Green Bean Casserole. Ingredients used/cooking in the first image alt-text.

I think the grocer's scale was off because its not as overflowing as it usually is. I'm a bit suspicious. Also forgot cream so we'll see how corner-store-half/half will do as a substitute.
Recipe: Generally, Guy Fieri's recipe: https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/guy-fieri/green-bean-casserole-with-homemade-mushroom-gravy-recipe-2106489 Preheat oven 450F ~2 lb of mushrooms; Equal parts shitake, protabello, morel and porchini (morel/porchini were dried) ~ 1 lb green beans with tips trimmed and cut into equal bite-sized pieces. Blanch in boiling water for 2~3 min then drain and icebath to stop cooking. Then drain and let dry. 2 tbsp butter 1 tbsp veggie oil 1 tsp thyme garlic 1/2 tsp cayenne 1/2 tsp nutmeg 2 tbsp flour a bit of Better Than Boullion (Chicken) 1 c sour cream 1 cup of half-and-half because you forgot to get light cream an amount of grated Parmesan Extra: 3~4 shallots to be sliced thinly and fried as a topping/garnish when served, but I'm doing that just before. Trim stems from fresh mushrooms, and cut into equal sizes. Rehydrate the dried mushrooms but KEEP THE WATER. Pour through a filter to get dirt and grit out so you have 1 cup of mushroom juice. Put in a tsp or so of Better than Boullion and stir to dissolve. 12 inch cast-iron on medium heat, melt butter and veggie oil. Toss in the mushrooms and let them sizzle for a bit. Once some colour starts changing, add the garlic and thyme and keep stirring ~2-3 minutes and all have started browning. Dust them with flour and some of the mushroom juice, alternating until both are in the mixture. Bring it to a simmer then drop it while adding the creams. Stir to incorporate on low heat 5~7 minutes until it thickens. Fold in green beans, apply paremesean dust to desired coating, and put on a tray (because its probably gonna goop over) and bake until bubbly and parmesean is golden. Probably ~15 minutes or so. Mushrooms cooked, creams are added Gravy has thickened, green beans folded Baked to delicious doneness. Dig in, or in my case, refrigerate for the next day.

Sure I'm a Wyrm right now. But if I were to start leaning towards polymorphing a more bipedal form...I've been thinking in shades of Kobold. What do you think would translate and what should be simplified/dropped? Things I should think about for arting ease?

Trying a new cooking method- Baking 350F for 10min. Sautee some minced garlic in butter, toss in the mushrooms, salt+pepper+thyme. Eyeballed it, probably about 5~7 minutes saute.
