Even without git history, I can imagine how this github.com/antiwork/gum... began as a US-specific bank account model, but evolved into a single-table-inheritance base class without losing its US-centrism.

I've seen worse cases of STI but this one has the advantage of being available to point at.

With a weak (relative to a few years ago) tech job market, plus upcoming economic shocks, tech workers are going to be tempted to work on, I don't know, systems to correlate menstrual cycles with GPS locations. Things of that nature.

They can't build these things without help […]
