It's awful for people with family in the US. For the rest of us, we'll just not bother coming to the US anymore, conferences in other countries etc. What a shit show.

Leaning on ‘tu quoque fallacy’ is beyond the pale.

The BBC and its leaders of the 70s are not in the running for PM. Emulating the hiss of a gas chamber? Is there any excuse for that abject personal cruelty? It gets right to the heart of what has motivated him for 50 years.

Appalling.

Less political foundational theory and more about how power concentrates - here is my list for you.

The Efficient Society (Joseph Heath) (Canada specific)

The Master Switch, Tim Wu (a Canadian on historical US monopolies in media/telcos)

Public Power (Howard Hampton) (Canada specific)

I think this has a lot to do with that, at least for now, Ontarians/Canadians are willing to go through some pain in exchange for standing up to the U.S. I also wonder how many people see Trump as an honest broker in these trade negotiations. I'm assuming very, very few.

Love the idea of this being on the midterm ballot, bravo. (Though I’m sure they will not accept this proposal).
