Hospitals can be reimbursed for these expenses through a program called Emergency Medicaid. The money – which includes federal dollars – covers emergency treatment for unauthorized immigrants who would have been eligible for Medicaid if not for their immigration status.

There are a few instances in which the gov does pay for unauthorized immigrants to receive medical treatment. Hospitals are legally required to provide people with emergency treatment, regardless of their ability to pay or their immigration status.

The US gov is partially closed but the aggressive ICE raids in public places continue and National Guard members deployed. It should be impossible to make predictions about deportations, as they should depend on the number of undocumented arrivals at the border and criminals who have served their sentences and whose countries of origin are willing to receive them.

State and federal funds may go to reimburse some of the costs incurred in critical cases at emergency rooms by the uninsured who cannot afford to pay, people experiencing homelessness, tourists without sufficient funds, and undocumented immigrants. This sometimes applies to Americans abroad as well.

Most people coming to the US from abroad are active in the labor force. The great majority pay taxes, social security & Medicare contributions through payroll deductions. Undocumented immigrants make contributions, but they cannot use those contributions. Therefore,

Latino Americanas. La cultura de PR ha sobrevivido a pesar de ser territorio de EU. Como dice en su canción MuDANZA “yo soy de aquí, de aquí nadie me saca.” Esto aplica a muchos hispanos en EU y al igual que ellos, BB mostró en SNL que él es totalmente bilingüe y bicultural.
