In no way am I attempting to downplay the very real threat against our democracy. It is real and horrifying. I am 71 years old and grew up with assumptions about the nobility of America that have been shattered. But I continue to believe in people, in democracy, and in the power of truth.

There are other differences: Germany was very white outside the Jewish population. The US has always been much more diverse. It's white population comes from many different countries/ethnicities. Latinos have always been here. Slavery, Chinese who worked on the western rails.

Softer. Don't shoot them, just beat the living sh&t out of them.

Just incredible that some people deny this. My father was a WWI vet. Other vets took pictures of the atrocities. To deny is to say that hundreds of war worn vets are lying. This was genocide and anyone denying that is stupid and has an agenda.
