I mean...I do hear you in concept, but like... It's still an exclusive title whether you personally enjoyed/played it or not lol
I play on PC mainly so the only reason I even have the switch 2 is for Nintendo exclusives. Between the TotK upgrade & the new exclusives it does have I've been pleased.

This is such an odd narrative for people to create given that you've just listed the two consoles that actually have exclusive titles, one of said consoles having only released in the middle of last year and has DK Bananza, mk world, air riders, Metroid prime 4 already. What games do you want lol

Yeah unfortunately there's currently such a vast amount of quality experiences available that when one of the big consensus negatives for a game is that it's not particularly considerate of your time (as is the case with MP4) people are likely to just say "okay, I'll play something else then"

It's a $70 game that is exclusive to the switch 2 that appears to be capable of running on a refrigerator and is a key card despite being a first-party release that surely cannot be larger than like 15gb. This game baffles me from every angle.

I've tried TWEWY like several times at this point and I truly want to like it. The controls make me want to break the device I am holding bc they are so frustrating.

I have about 2500 hours across scarlet/violet. They are unfinished, buggy, the worst looking environments ever conceived by a AAA studio, can't decide if their target audience is 35 or 6 years old, and sold in a manner that borders on predatory. They are also, unfortunately, very fun to play.

The day that Nvidia cards perform on Linux as well as they do on windows is the day all of my machines make the switch. Would also like anti-cheat support but honestly the only game I play that would cause an issue with is battlefield and I'm so deep in Arc right now that I've barely played it.

My series X is a blu-ray player atp. Series S is an emulation machine for kids and family games. And somehow, against all odds, PlayStation+ Premium has become a better value than game pass and Xbox consoles are being outsold by a PS2 Eyetoy with a wifi connection. So, sure Microsoft. Run ads.

I've listened to Scott for years. I listen to Pivot more for Kara Swisher's thoughts than anything he brings to the table, but I've never thought of him as even slightly misogynistic. To the contrary, I've generally considered him a voice of reason when it comes to his thoughts on masculinity.

Agreed. I kinda wish every modern open world just outright ripped off Ghost of Tsushima in this regard. Tears of the Kingdom would've been a perfect game for a "guiding wind" esque guidance system

Dragon Ball Z Budokai 1/2/3 if you like fighting games, Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets if you like that franchise, I would say final fantasy x/xii and/or kingdom hearts but I'd recommend the modern hd releases tbh, and Spider Man 2.

I'm curious how long until Nintendo gets it together on that front. It's genuinely unacceptable. I'm not buying anything on a Nintendo console (the console I essentially own specifically for physical game collection purposes) if it's not on the cartridge.

I ...really love retroachievements and I'm very happy to have gotten all of them for pokemon emerald. Not proud, per-se lol. But I like my lil digital trophies.

A fun thing I've noticed over the last few days since the backlash to game awards is that there's so many people saying things like "okay I didn't play it before, was a hater, but...I get it now" and I think that's great. Awards shows are important for this reason despite the fact they're also dumb.

Came herw to say the same. Id actually be shocked if we don't get Mario 64 and OoT remakes/remasters prior to next mainline 3d Mario & Zelda titles release given their recent relative enthusiasm for the concept.

Valve has earned enough of my trust that when they do something like that, even if public general reaction is highly negative, I'm pretty prone to giving them the benefit of the doubt that they probably had a decent reason.
