This is why appeasement fails. Chamberlain thought he could make peace with Hitler. Trump thinks he can make peace with Putin. Both ignored years of lies and invasions. Deals with dictators are not peace. They are just delays before the next betrayal. Some people never learn.

Disgusting. Trump wants to rip legal status from Ukrainians fleeing war and Afghans who risked their lives for the U.S. This is not about law and order. It is cruelty for cruelty’s sake. Deporting war refugees while cozying up to Putin is the clearest signal yet of where his loyalties lie.
Exclusive: Trump plans to revoke legal status of Ukrainians who fled to US, sources say
U.S. President Donald Trump's administration is planning to revoke temporary legal status for some 240,000 Ukrainians who fled the conflict with Russia, a senior Trump official and three sources familiar with the matter said, potentially putting them on a fast-track to deportation.

Macron gets it. Trump is useless, and Europe cannot wait around while he plays dictator. If Ukraine falls, Putin will not stop there. Meanwhile, Trump throws tantrums, withholds aid, and dreams of stripping Ukraine for resources. The free world is moving on without him.

Trump doesn't care about Ukraine. He doesn't care about the war. He cares about minerals. He holds weapons hostage, hoping that Zelensky grovels. Ukraine does not even have the rare earths he is drooling over. He sees a country fighting for survival and thinks, how can I strip it for parts?
Less than a week after Trump and Zelensky clashed in an explosive Oval Office exchange, both leaders now appear to be nearing a minerals deal that had appeared to be on the verge of collapse.
Trump and Zelensky’s Week of Whiplash
After days of chaos, is the U.S.-Ukraine minerals deal still alive?

Dear Western partners,
Either help us break the violent, illegitimate Georgian Dream regime through imposing financial sanctions on them today while they are still able to live in Georgia, or tomorrow they’ll be rushing to you to negotiate a shelter.
Yes, it’s getting to that.
