They then peek down at the sheet of paper, and the POV switches to that of the being, so we can see what is on the page. A single word is written there: "Don't" The POV switches back, but is closer on the being's strangely serene face as they continues staring at the page. They then stare directly at us, the serene face implying the opposite.
