I've updated the dashboard with the R&D accounts that got anomalies in the CR bill text. All accounts that were not called out will stay at FY 2024 levels and thus show up as blank in the dashboard since there's no change.

In positive news: the Dubai Chocolate donut from Donut Boy is arguably the best donut I've ever had. They only make them on the weekend and I suggest pre-ordering them. Check them out: www.instagram.com/donutboywvc?...

🖋️ “Defend judicial oversight, reject excessive presidential powers” hit 100 signers!
Defend judicial oversight, reject excessive presidential powers
Text SIGN PVESOB to 50409 — The Fact Sheet posted today by President Trump (Fact Sheet: President Donald J. Trump Reins in Independent Agencies to Restore a Government that Answers to the American People – The White House ) sets a concerning precedent that concentrates immense power in the presidency, undermining the system of checks and balances vital to American democracy. The order allows the president to dictate how executive agencies interpret and apply the law, a role traditionally held by the judiciary to maintain separation of powers. Giving the president sole authority to determine the lawfulness of executive actions poses a threat to constitutional principles and individual rights. There must be independent bodies able to serve as a check on presidential overreach without being beholden to the White House. Consolidating so much control in one office erodes accountability and creates an environment ripe for abuse of power. I urge you to denounce this order and defend the judiciary's role in providing oversight and upholding the rule of law as intended by the framers of the Constitution.

For researchers, this means that work already completed and charged to federal grants (NSF, NIH, etc) will not be reimbursed by the federal government until further notice.
