This makes me SO glad I chose UIUC!
It was SO hard. I teach college juniors and seniors, and I’ve been committed to not imposing my politics on them out of respect for their worldviews. Which means we couldn’t do cathartic mourning on Wednesday. Instead I had to let myself be terrible, spouting generic platitudes about self care. Ugh.
