It is so far off the rails for so long that it has “normalized” it amongst the citizens. Entire generations think this is ok, no big deal. I got 5g video streaming and my latte, what is wrong?

I agree, clean house, clean sweep, sandblast & hot tank.

As far as I know, there is no Statute of Limitations for complicit congresssional members in aiding treason.
As we know, congress GOP has the ability to stop this tonight but choose not. They took an oath to the Constitution, not a party. They are as guilty as Trump.
Prison too good for all of them.

When 5 above hits, time to break out the shorts and sandals!
20 above means we gotta dig out the sun umbrella. Damned if I recall where thats at.

Mine would be on my 1945 First Edition of Cannery Row by John Steinbeck.
I truly believe I lived as one of his characters in a prior life.

I’m really needing one to show bed in upper left corner.
That way the dear pup(s) we have would only have access to the side my spouse sleeps on to signal to go out to pee (at midnight, 0234, 0417…etc)
Not sure why or how they learned to go to only my side…..😄

That is what is extra special. It has every chance of being very old, worn & polished over time and yes indeed, where it has been.
And best of all, it has found a forever home to be cared & carried as it was intended to be.
Thanks for this share on the 1st day of 2026. May we all find such an item

This is good.
Sometimes in life a simple item finds its way into our hands. Deeply personal, unique to just you, it provides the strength & resilience in times of challenge. This tooth, held just as shown or carried in a secure pocket only requires your touch or eyes to re-affirm your strength.

I can feel your backs way out here in Sitka. Be safe

Yes.
We left Fairbanks on Saturday for Haines. Son & SO moving South. New jobs dictated the timing. -40 @Beaver Creek. Sunday to Haines w/wind even colder.
We got on the ferry this afternoon & it all hit. That cold really nails you. Just glad the uhaul & their rig made it. Good holidays to you all.

I have used with limited success with these types:
I politely inquire if Jesus guides their daily life. Often it is yes. Does that include the Beatitudes? If puzzled look = fraud.
I also confirm if they believe he can show up at anytime again? “Yes”
Are you following his words?
CN = anti-christ.

Cow Parsnip never ceases to amaze me on how fast it can grow in days. Similar to our Salmon Berry species.
Both sure do their job securing disturbed soils.

It is growing heavy this season in Sitka due to the extra wet wx. Stopped a young guy the other day (new to area) who was voraciously weed whacking the stuff. Quite covered in the pulp. God(s) help him if he took a whiz before cleaning up…

I would fully agree. Spent a good chunk of my adult life earning my keep in the woods of the PNW, SE Alaska & oceans.
Quiet observation has shown me w/o question that land & sealife critters are far better than us at life. Full respect for them all. Aspire to join them given current events.

Where ever the next check comes from, she’ll carry their torch.

As a fellow Sitkan may I add washing my truck cures any dry wx we have. Every. Single. Time.
(31 year streak)

Fully agree. Could something bad happen to me? Maybe. I have family to consider. But an equal consider is standing strong for my family, & for all people in this world. I refuse to bend, I have zero fear of these asshats. Bring it on. FAFO. We outnumber them by huge margin. No fear. Know fight.

Ah yes, the red rolls for cap guns. The ones that you’d use a giant rock and smash the whole roll for extra bang.
And I wonder why now a days I need herring eggs. I mean hearing aids..

Not men. Under the cover; wimps, sad sacks, dick heads, losers. We both know if yarded out to sea working a breakneck pace or dragging their ass into the steep backcountry they are the types that fold like a cheap ass chair, crying for Mommy. They all need a serious ass kicking x 10.

If memory serves me, late 60’s.
50 cents earned from not regular chores (no pay) but from extra ones typically produced:
(5) Bazooka bubble gum, (2) jaw breakers (1) black licorice rope and (1) small tube of Daisy Gun BB’s.
We had true “Dime Stores” A paradise if you had a nickle to a dollar.

Full agree. I am out of “F’s” to give. Zero empathy left. Have spent my entire adult life and even prior, taking each day to do right for others and this planet.
