Here's the squad. Very health in attack and Emerson Thome came in and was superb at the back. The deadline day signing of John Terry (applied to be manager IRL) helped. Midfield was a bit more shaky. Ray Parlour came in but averaged under 7.

There we go -managed to win the league with Sunderland only signing players they had or were linked* with in real life. It felt fun to Google every available player's name to see if #SAFC were ever linked.

Early visit to Beigel Bake. Tried a chopped herring Beigel. It was decent enough - very fish - but the salt beef will always be king.

Out go Flitcroft and Rae and in come Savage and Delap. Arca finished the season strongly but he's out for a year with a broken leg. Emerson Thome comes in to strengthen us at the back with Varga being released on a free (I lost patience after 3 years on the transfer list).

Enjoying this #SAFC save - only buying players we had IRL or were linked with. Attack is looking good but central midfield is where we are struggling most. Rae and Flitcroft just not cutting it. Tried for Reyna, Parlour, Keane and Schwarz but they don't fancy the move.
