The open letter calls on the Government to scrap its May 2025 White Paper, which will deepen the hostile environment already being faced by migrant victim-survivors of violence and exploitation.

Every woman deserves safety, dignity and justice, regardless of immigration status.

Alongside our partners SafeLives and Respect, we have joined more than 70 organisations calling for an end to harmful immigration policies.

Research shows 30% of domestic abuse begins or escalates during pregnancy, rising to 40% in the first 1001 days of life (pregnancy through to age two). By the time children start school, at least one child in every class will have been living with domestic abuse since birth

Alongside our partners @safelives.bsky.social and @respectuk.bsky.social , we are pleased to support The For Baby's Sake Trust’s recent open letter calling for babies and very young children to be explicitly recognised within the government’s Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Strategy.

The LEVEL Programme is currently being delivered by WomenCentre and The Brunswick Centre on a one-to-one basis over 22 weeks in West Yorkshire
“We’re proud to be part of the Drive Partnership’s National Systems Change work through the LEVEL programme. The Brunswick Centre and WomenCentre are working together across Calderdale and Kirklees to offer something truly new. LEVEL recognises the realities of domestic abuse in LGBTQ+ relationships and fills a real gap in current services. It’s about creating space for accountability, understanding, and meaningful change — for those who have caused harm and for those who have been harmed,” said Angela Everson, CEO of WomenCentre, and John McKernaghan, CEO of The Brunswick Centre.

Conversations about violence against women and girls are being hijacked by an anti-migrant agenda that is dangerous, divisive, and distracts from real efforts to keep women and girls safe.
drivepartnership.bsky.social
Alongside our partners, SafeLives and Respect UK, we join over 200 organisations uniting against the dangerous weaponisation of violence against women and girls.
