2/ Smarsh is author of "Bone of the Bone: Essays on America by a Daughter of the Working Class." (It's kind of an anti-Hillbilly Elegy.) She's pretty brilliant. Listen to her. She might blow your mind (or at least open your eyes), as she did Jon Stewart's.

Jon Stewart's podcast interview with Sarah Smarsh on "the divide between Dems and the working class" was the most helpful and insightful post-election analysis I've heard.
