Not sure if it will ever be a primary color for football, but Lobo fans have been calling for turquoise jerseys for some time and now that Nike has the ability to produce them, they are now part of the uni rotation. I, for one, cannot wait to see them!

UNM athletics has reincorporated turquoise into their color scheme over the last decade, including football (face masks, number trim, etc.). But this season will be the first since the 70s for turquoise jerseys. This is because Nike did not have the ability to make a turquoise jersey until now.

Y'all should make a trip to Albuquerque for a UNM-NMSU game some day. Nobody outside the state cares about the Rio Grande Rivalry, but here in NM, we sure do.
