Actshully, nonverbal behavior (posture changes, pupil dilation) do correlate with emotions or attitudes (context dependent of course). The nonsense about crossed arms and lie-detection tricks is generally bunk.

TRUE. Acceptance is not necessarily approval however, i.e, you're not endorsing it. From my experience, peace isn't a one time achievement but a dynamic state. Sometimes you feel it, sometimes you don't. Perhaps real peace comes when we stop editing our story; the past is integrated into our psyche.

Two suggestions: adapt your schedule to others so you don't appear as an outlier; talk to Charles so he is in the loop. The whole "the only moat is execution velocity " and 9-5 being failure" can be challenging in that culture.
