It’s 3 pm, the sun is shining thro my bedroom window.

I’m having a restful day (orders of my Consultant), also my Siamese cat, Katsu, hasn’t let me get up!
She’s wanting snuggles- it’s like having a constant purring hot water bottle.

Just as well I have a mini fridge & kettle up here. 😊

Yes- sealpoint breed 24. Full name Kaloke Katsu.
In the main all Kalokes have 2nd names starting w K -which was something their fab breeder began.
My 2 kids helped choose the name.
One of our previous Siamese was Kurylenko- Kury for short.
Some think we are calling our Siamese ‘curry or types of’! 😂

I’m snuggling up with my Siamese cat, Katsu. She rarely leaves my side - such a poppet.
She had a laparotomy 3 weeks ago for a huge bladder stone- her shaved neck/tummy/leg not quite as bare- there’s some fuzzy fur appearing.
She’s now on special urinary food to reduce risk of another stone.😍

Yes- the fabulous St Oswald’s Hospice- I’ve been using their TreeCycle since it began. (I bought a second tree this year that’s potted- so one to recycle & one to keep in garden.

Wishing you all a Happy Healthy 2026!
Not an easy 2025 4 me, but I’ve hope it will be better this coming year.
Been trying to summon up energy 2 head up 4 sleep 4 past few hours, during which time I had some wine, updated my photo, wished my kids & friends a Happy New Year & cuddled my cat. Night 😊

Our lovely Siamese cat, Katsu, had a laparotomy to remove a huge bladder stone, which had been causing frank blood in wee. She came home on Christmas Eve & was not happy with me or my 2 kids(!)- which is so unusual for her, as we are her 3 special peeps.
She’s now back to being her usual self

I (with help from my cat) made a wreath this w/e using willow from my neighbour, Ivy from the garden & bits off the Christmas tree, some baubles & ribbon.
That was all my energy used up!
Rather liking the festive look via my video doorbell through the wreath!
Only one more sleep til kids here 🙌

What can I say - oh the joys of obtaining a urine sample from my cat, who has haematuria.
I’m exhausted- but she’s done a little wee in the crystals- another one should be enough, fridge until my PA arrives.
Haematuria 12d ago, cleared w antibiotic injection. Now recurred-?Stress cystitis or UTI 😩

At my Northumberland cottage (sadly just in the process of selling) I’m surrounded by my farmer neighbour’s sheep. I have had lots of lovely conversations with the sheep through the hawthorn hedge and had a few lambs who have somehow got through into my garden & like to shelter under the trampoline.

Thank you. A necessary weekend in bed. I have my cat, Katsu, under the covers - she’s warming my feet. Every so often she comes out from under the duvet- think she must get really hot.
One of my lovely neighbours is making lunch & my son will be back down from Edinburgh later- so a lovely day. 😊

Watching @channel4news.bsky.social I thought I was listening to a Reform politician-no, it was Labour’s Jonathan Hinder. Constantly talking about deterrents to migration & interrupting/talking over @greenparty.org.uk @carladenyer.bsky.social
He didn’t listen to anything Carla was suggesting.

My Siamese, Katsu, stretches out really long too! 😊

I’ve just become a member of The Green Party, after listening to @zackpolanski.bsky.social
I was a member of Labour Party, but feel more aligned to Green Party policies, esp re our #NHS, disability benefits/Public Services/tax on extremely wealthy/EU/on COVID & #CleanAir /environment, Gaza/refugees

Every night my cat, Katsu, miaows & encourages me up to bed. If I don’t head up, she leaves the room….. and then returns after a bit to try again.
I feel like I’m being ‘naughty’ if I don’t go- so always follow her by her 3rd try!!

Up in Northumberland last week, rudbeckia from the garden- made me feel ‘autumnal’ & brought me joy. 🙂

Crumbs- just finished watching Ep9 of #ChiefOfWar

Really enjoyed the series.

A very tense, brutal & graphic last episode-
I held my breathe for much of it…… I’m not squeamish-
but a couple of things made me exclaim ‘Blimey yuk!’
Certainly not for the fainthearted.

Oh, I feel sad- Robert Redford has died. He was such a beautiful man- and was one of my mum’s favourite pin ups (I rather liked him too ☺️)
