Dirty secret: the shipment gets moved between trucks at will, and multiple households will be placed in one truck, and contents often get mixed.

The opportunities for non-malicious loss / box swapping are HUGE, on top of the outright theft.

You take care of packing the truck, and a wooden wall goes in, you lock it, no one can access. You only pay for the space you use. On other end, they drop off truck and you have three days to unload it.

They also have pod-style options, only zero damage move I've had.

I once had an employer pay for a move, and after the claim was processed for the lost and broken items, I ended up with an amount larger than the entire moving costs.

(They lost the truck for two weeks, as the cherry on top.)
