How can one consent to an MRI and not know what part it is for? As someone who just underwent 2 MRIs a couple of weeks ago, I find this bonkers.

I watched it years ago, before my own breast cancer diagnosis and before my mother’s ovarian cancer. It was brilliant and heart wrenching. I don’t think I could watch it again, but I do recommend it to others.

One more breath sample and I’m done.

I survived without incident.

Unless she comes out and apologizes for her prior behavior and exposes all of the behind the scenes intel, I won’t believe she’s changed. And even after she did that, I still don’t trust her.

This is one of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen. Such a brilliantly creative mind!

But there always are the exceptions, right? The healthy 70+ year old who may live another 20+ years diagnosed with an aggressive cancer. I had older patients who were diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer following work up for lower back pain.

I think it’s more nuanced than what the guidelines state. They changed because it was felt there were a lot of unnecessary biopsies performed and many would die from other comorbidities before dying from a slow growing cancer.

You do realize you’re getting screened due to your prior history of prostate cancer. The guidelines are easily found online and recommend screening stops at age 69.

I read The Fountainhead in my early 20s and thought it was great. Then, years later, started Atlas Shrugged and taught it was just like The Fountainhead, but with trains. I never finished it and can’t believe I ever liked TF.

I experienced this teaching at a university last fall. One student denied using AI even though when I entered my question (which asked for a personal reflection), AI wrote what the student did, verbatim.

I need to figure out how to AI-proof questions.
