I posted this a while back so I'm not sure, though I've noticed dust seems to be building up faster next to windows than in the past. But that could be related to something more local.

I'm NOT saying we're doomed. But I AM saying we need to remember we don't know the answers to some very important questions. We need play it safe, not be sorry. We can't avert our eyes & pretend problems will go away if we don't look at them. We can't race to rebuild and end up here all over again.

We also have to recognize how the trauma adults are experiencing will simultaneously hurt parents' abilities to be present for their kids AND place demands on our healthcare & welfare systems that we don't have adequate infrastructure for.

Particulate matter in the air - we don't have enough data on what's in the air, how much there is, or what it'll do to people. We aren't even sure how high the risk is. And we definitely don't know how that kind of airborne particulate matter will affect a child's brain or respiratory development.

I study empathy & differentiating between performative kindness vs genuine altruism, and I'm interested in improving college classroom climate. I did my master's thesis on child "misbehavior" & self-regulation. I survived 2 masters' & a PhD with ADHD, your ADHD episodes were so meaningful for me! <3
