I’ll add that our electoral college system is a part of this disadvantage for the opposition. 2024 was a clear example of this. How often has a candidate won without the nationwide popular vote? Old news but needs to be retold.

Some Dem leaders seem to be happy to simply be in the positions they occupy now. They don’t use every opportunity they have to fight back against the lawless Trump regime. Half-hearted attempts to fight back give the advantage to him.
