Let's not forget that this isn't even the first time Benioff made this exact same mistake. After watching IBM's Watson on Jeopardy, he put a customized version of that AI into Salesforce called Einstein, and it never took off. This is at least strike 2 for the CEO 🤦‍♂️

Was listening to a podcast today where the guest was a cop-turned-activist, and he said something like "there's a difference between what's legal and what's allowed, and if you allow anything, then what's legal doesn't matter".

Simple: half of the GOP loves what Trump is doing, and the other half is scared shitless by their own voters

Large amounts of cocaine also cause internal bleeding. Like the kind one would take when celebrating getting away with murder. Just saying, since apparently we no longer need any evidence for "news"

Also a reminder that crunch is the result of massive executive failure, and a failure that is paid by staff while said executives continue to wallow in their bonuses unscathed. There is no benefit whatsoever to staffers enduring endless crunch. It just enables execs to keep failing.

It's like an episode of the Supranos, but instead of mafia gangs, it's state actors. I suppose that state-level mafias are the end game of late-stage capitalism. After all, what system of laws can contain the oligarch behaviors anymore?

Or even worse - the company you work for says remote is "the new normal", people move to other states to be closer to families, etc., then a year later, the company says, "just kidding, RTO immediately, MFs!"

Gilroy had an excellent interview with The Bulwark podcast, and he talks about this exact thing, saying:
"Fascism is Fascism, man. When it shows up it does the same thing every time. It really does. There's a menu, and this is literally them just going down the list."
