I see! Several of the puzzles in the original trailer did have light hitting them from behind, whereas the new ones don't. Alongside playing with color/light/shadows, maybe bringing back some of those old sun directions could be helpful. Looks like I've got some work to do

Some areas have an entirely new style as you can see from the new trailer. This previously existing one got a different treatment.
