Cooper's Hawk just now! It killed something as it was eating for a minute before it flew up to a branch. Past the furthest Suet feeder on the dog run line. Picture taken with Xperia 1V, basic settings (no time to change to full manual)

I was driving through Kent, CT today and stumbled across the Connecticut Antique Machinery Museum. Since they are closed, I took a couple quick pictures.

We only had one bunch of kids come by - this is what we offered! A mix of Japanese cookies, gum, and some multi-colored pens. I try and switch things up each year. Last year it was bags of various Kit-Kat flavors. Orange, Dark Chocolate, Strawberry, Green Tea, and Milk Chocolate.

Wheels are on, it runs and moves, no leaks so far. Only have the horn to finish. I am running 2015 Ford C-Max rims (17x7"). Road test tomorrow! Note, I checked and these rotors are not painted. Sanding just scuffed them, no color change.

Brakes and suspension installed, a shot of the exhaust and shifter complete. Just have fluids , Power steering cooler mount, cruise control mount, and horn to go!

Making more progress on the SHO! Got the subframe work done at my friend's shop, painted it last week, and started the assembly yesterday. I still have some details to work around (Power Steering cooler mount is the biggest one), but otherwise it is going smoothly.

A pesky Downy Woodpecker was hammering on all sorts of stuff Thursday afternoon. The Heat Pump (and the insulated piping), the gutter, the siding... nothing was off limits. Yes, I know I need to clean the gutters!

Sorry about the fuzziness, but the bird feeder was very busy with Titmice this morning. Up to four at a time!

The subframe mods have started! Upper is the original, the bottom is from a '96 automatic. Transmission mount is done, next are motor mounts. The rear mount on the old subframe is approximately 60mm taller, which would change the shifter and exhaust angles. Front just needs a new hole.

My '71 Deluxe after a fresh coat of "Rally Red". It was a patchwork quilt of colors and primer covered spots before!

And if there was any doubt it needed a new clutch, look at these fingers. The bearing wore them down to half thickness.

Parts are being prepared for installation. 1996 Ford Taurus Subframe, knuckles, control arms, and brakes. Still need to complete the subframe mods, install the new clutch, shifter repair parts, etc.

Not great pictures, but I believe this is a very egg-heavy female house finch. The head, which I did not get a great picture of, also has red feathers. Not sure though - has anyone seen a similar back marking on a female?

Finally saw the whole family today. A couple and their three kids. One of the youngsters was still looking to be fed, it was cute!
