We are of like mind about Ashdown but Britons should listen to the leaders of Greenland and today’s inspirational words of the Canadian pm ; both countries under immediate threat . recognise that sovereignty that is built on appeasement is not sovereignty

That’s a small threat compared to the ones that Carney is calling out. Britain deserves a leader with more spine.

It’s rewriting history to neglect the place that Putin , Trump and their minions like Farage had in weakening and dividing the EU, impoverishing Britain opening Europe up to attack from the east and now the west.

Starmer is disappointing in his lack of spine. Instead of leading he is trailing the Battle of Britain spirit of the population. Britons never will be slaves especially to our former allies.

It is likely that Canada will today make a deal with China for EVs to be assembled in Ontario. These will be good and cheaper option for Canadians seeking an alternative to US manufactured vehicles
