That program doesn’t exist anymore, but students still need spaces to process. In my experience, students always appreciate having space, especially knowing that someone cares enough about them to provide it.

space we had. I started in 2019 and every year, something traumatizing would happen on campus. When that happened, we always prioritized making our class a space to process, be in community, and heal. Every time my students would talk about how we’re the only ones providing this for them. 4/

Those days had a profound effect on me. It’s one of the experiences I had as an undergrad that became a North Star for all of my teaching: never forget your students’ humanity. My employer got rid of the first-year advising program I was a part of, the greatest loss of which was the classroom 3/

Every one of my professors knew that whatever they had to teach us was less important than taking the time to see each others humanity. Our classes were our safe spaces. I remember looking forward to class because I knew I got to be in community and talk and feel and question. 2/

The dems are intent on making themselves as unlikeable and unelectable as possible. We need more Mamdanis, not more of the mealy-mouthed corporate dems.

There really isn't a neutral. It's one or the other as you say, so at best you can *think* that neutrality is an option. And that only becomes a choice because of proximity to whiteness and white supremacy.
