I tried to bypass this once by just giving someone a film I knew they'd love on a USB, only to find that people don't have anything they can plug a USB into anymore.

There's usually one each month, and we discuss it, but we sometimes get people who seem hostile or upset about anyone criticising the comic.

I agree! If the technology to do this stuff is so much easier now then there's no reason we shouldn't expect the same quality.

The animation director for Roger Rabbit was known as a perfectionist, which might account for that.
For example, Bob Hoskins had the wrong eyeline in this shot, so they had Roger push himself up against the wall to correct for it.
