Day 7: I roamed Union Square and the adjacent streets in the morning and tended to my light cold in the afternoon. Tonight we went to Friedmans for a great dinner and made our way to Grand Central Station. We wanted to go up the Summit at 1 Vanderbilt, however due to rain and a long wait, we didn’t.

Day 5: In the morning, we did the „Untapped New York“ Subway tour, which was interesting and informative. Tonight, Volker did some great shots of southern Manhattan from the New Jersey side, while I crossed the Brooklyn bridge for some dawn and night shots from across the East River

Day 4: Spending the morning between Washington Square and the fully scaffolded Flatiron Building, we walked the High Line in the afternoon, visited Pier 57 and hat an early but very tasty dinner at Dickson‘s Farmstand Meats in Chelsea Market

Day 3 and it’s raining badly. In the morning, we visited the USS Intrepid Museum (WWII aircraft carrier) and in the afternoon we did a little light shopping.

Day 2: Staten Island Ferry, Wall Street and One World Trade Center (Observation Deck) with great but cold weather.

We have arrived in NYC and from plane touchdown to the subway with us in it 75 minutes have passed, something of a high-speed record. Another hour and we‘ll be at Times Square.

Arrived earlier than scheduled and had a good time with food and drinks at the Aspire Club lounge. Shortly we‘ll board the beauty seen in the picture for our ride to New York.

We spent last week at the 58th Hemdsärmelkolloquium in beautiful Innsbruck. Hubert Hupperts and his co-workers were wonderful hosts and the talks an discussions were great.
