I think in the end it's all a moot point because the actions are what matters. This is definitely not something I attribute to you, but I do feel like some people are relying on cognition to make up for the fact that what people said 10+ years ago turned out to be 100% true (and not hyperbole)

I have (i'm a doctor). I'm just having a hard time seeing some of his actions as being that different from what he has done or said before. There's certainly something to be said about the slip ups (and his energy), but it still seems like a lot of the same tendencies/actions/thoughts of earlier DJT

I do sort of wonder whether what we are seeing is cognitive decline or just an individual who has realized that nearly every everyone in power is not willing to do anything to stop him (coming at this from a medical perspective)

I am increasingly finding this framing as unconvincing. The language of mental illness or dementia just isn’t appropriate. More often than not, what we are seeing is Trump leaning into his worst tendencies without any pushback.

I don’t think gay tech people are normal (see: Sam Altman and Peter Thiel as prime examples)
