I swear, whenever Cartoon Network and Boomerang would air those Porky/Sylvester Looney Tunes shorts in the old days, it was always the creepy hotel or them getting abducted by aliens. They almost never aired this one where Porky realizes Sylvester actually wasn't a delusional liar...

The wife likes it but me? Meh, it's fine. My feelings are like Space Jam. I didn't watch Hocus Pocus when it was new so I have no nostalgic love towards it. The sequel however? Extreme redundant nonsense...

Fat Dog is indeed possible but you know what would be another fun show from the old days to sit down and rewatch?

The possibilities are endless!

I've got enough stuff to be getting on with. I have horror movies for October, I really wanna finish Animaniacs and get back to Samurai Jack in November and of course, Tom and Jerry takes priority in December... but on the other hand, Fat Dog only has 26 episodes, it's all on WCO. I could do it...

Fat Dog Mendoza was a show I watched regularly on Cartoon Network in the early 2000s. It's a very mediocre show but it has one of the best theme songs ever. I was rewatching the intro just now and the voice in my head that told me to marathon Fosters said "Why not do this one for old time's sake?"

Looking very thoroughly, the only thing I could imagine determining where this ad originated from is that big red text banner in the top left of the frame in the first shot. Good luck reading it through VHS footage!!!

This is a laughably bad advert from 2005 for Chupa Chups. Even when I was 12 years old, I could tell this was really badly dubbed. "Cremosa" is Spanish but "Ohne Zucker" is German and "Cuore di Frutta" is Italian, so basically, I don't know where the hell this thing came from.

In a way, The Simpsons is just a weird franchise to add to Fortnite considering how few characters make sense. Look at Dragon Ball. You have Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo and Beerus. No other major Simpsons characters make sense for Fortnite. Sure, Maggie has shot people, but to put her in a shooter game?

In a way, I think this movie more than any other helped me realize just how good Laserdisc can look, at least in comparison to VHS. The joys of having those multiple copies!

I've owned a VHS recording of Tom and Jerry: The Movie since December 2000. For 24 years, this was my only copy of the movie. Now that I own it on Laserdisc, it's kinda jarring to finally own the film in somewhat decent quality, even if it's not HD... Warner, Blu-Ray, pronto!!
drummerfromfife.bsky.social
Which characters are playable in Fortnite anyway? It's just a weird thought, Homer and Bart picking up guns and just going around massacring other players...

No pictures necessary, I can believe all that. I got one in English and that's good enough for me. It's also, for me at least, the definitive way to watch this masterpiece until Warner decides to treat us to a Blu-Ray or even 4K print! 🤣

I mean, it's the internet. Complaining about trivial stuff makes up at least 75% of internet content...
drummerfromfife.bsky.social
Oh so it's a competition you want?! 🤣

You have me curious now. Why two Laserdisc copies? Is one a foreign language print?
drummerfromfife.bsky.social
Hell, the only reason I own it on Laserdisc is because, when I decided to buy Space Jam (a gimmicky film for a gimmicky system!!), I figured "Well I already own one shitty 90s cartoon movie, why stop there?"

Sure, I taped over the first recording with the full movie but parts of it still exists... It's funny to think I must've been browsing the TV Guide all year just for it to show up again. You'd think with that level of dedication, I'd have more kind words to say about it!!
drummerfromfife.bsky.social
Realization of the day: I must be the only person on earth who not only owns T&J: The Movie on multiple formats but also taped the film from TV TWICE, first time Christmas 1999 and the second time a year later because I missed the opening the first time.

The next two months are gonna be a painful wait. I'm experience so many mixed emotions, just as much as I did when I discovered how much of a pain it was to order...

Honestly starting to wish I hadn't noticed the announcement until mid-November. At least then, I wouldn't have to wait long...

A similar thing happened in 2006 with Coco Pops Straws. The idea of drinking your milk through edible chocolate straws? That's a fun idea! I eventually get a box and the straws just taste very bitter. Very much not an appealing way to enjoy cereal. Didn't finish this one either...

I remember 9-year-old me seeing this advert for Cookie Crisp on TV in 2003. Chocolate chip cookies as a cereal? Sounds super appeal to kids who love sugar. I badgered my mom endlessly to get it for me. It was an incredibly underwhelming cereal and I never finished the box. That pissed her off...

I like Blumhouse but c'mon, Jason...

I'm just hoping we can see CvA and then just move on. I'm not super concerned if the film sucks but the "anti-David" die-hards will be relentless and insufferable if that does indeed happen...
drummerfromfife.bsky.social
As it turns out, Homer doomed all of humanity. Won't be the last time!!
drummerfromfife.bsky.social
Whenever I see someone reference Y2K, I remember I was 6 years old and I was more than likely rewatching a Christmas VHS recording of Pinocchio without a care in the world. Thems were more innocent times for me!

Oh yeah, and A Goofy Movie was there too...
drummerfromfife.bsky.social
If Tom and Jerry started making me feel guilty about laughing at the pain they inflict upon each other and then proceed to team up to kill me, I gotta say, that would be a pretty shitty day...
