Rule of thumb: If anyone ever says something along of the lines of Ringo not being a great drummer, ask them what they think the most important role of a drummer is. If they say anything that isn't "Support the song", they have no clue what they're talking about. Ringo is the master of song support.
Verdict after the first three Beatles Anthology episodes: It's amazing to just watch Ringo play songs like "She Loves You" and "Long Tall Sally" with such ease. When I was his age, when I could actually hold sticks, I could never play with such ferocity. Never trust one who shit-talks his playing...

Haven't watched this in many years. The series is being released in two batches with the last three episodes coming out tomorrow. That works perfectly for me. Now I can do this, I can do The Babysitter and still have time for other human stuff...

Decision: Christmas is approaching. I'll leave it for now but come 2026, this fucker is getting framed and put in the more public hallway!!
Stupid idea time! I'm thinking about getting these two framed in preferably one frame. I haven't done any measurements and I don't know how impractical this is but it's on my mind...

I was gonna watch and review The Babysitter tonight but being real, it's been a super long day and I'm tired. I'll fit that in tomorrow during/after The Beatles Anthology. Doing that show and Get Back, that's probably at least two days worth of content, I'll need a breather somewhere...

I never got a GameSquare when I was a kid. Instead they gave me this weird blocky knock-off thing that for some reason has a handle. Had a pretty good controller though...

I think it's gonna happen. I was just measuring them both for one frame and the wife suggested getting two frames, one each. I trust her judgement since she likes stupid shit as much as I do...

At that point, should I also frame "Don't You Believe It"?

Oh yeah, this takes place around Thanksgiving. I remember seeing this in theatres with the wife early in our courtship. It's a good movie. Put this on the review list with PT&A!!!

Quimby is basically like the Mayor of Townsville. The second a politician with a semi-competent track record comes along and challenges him during election time, his career is screwed...
New video! 🚨
Mayor Quimby is a corrupt womanizer, who has used the treasury to fund the murder of his enemies. But it's okay, we forgive him anyway. It's time to go over Quimby's many crimes, many secret babies, and Springfield's extremely questionable voting record

Those who bought the Cinemascope set when that was new, how do you feel about having that thing now that the Golden Era set is coming out next week? Has your opinion on it changed in the past 10 months?

Thinking about it, it was probably this very set that fueled my dislike for double-sided discs. Every disc except the last two (The Jones era) is dual-sided. They are not labeled and are easier to damage. Even if the prints weren't censored, that is a pain in the ass. Fuck dual-sided discs.
The CCE set was excellent when I found it in 2020. Every Tom and Jerry short in one set? YES PLEASE!!

Then a year or two later, I discovered the VHS tapes had everything I needed with less censorship. Dropped this and never looked back.

AND THEN I DISCOVERED THE LASERDISCS!! 🤣

Just tried to replay Sonic 2. It's a major childhood game for me but I've never beaten it. I was feeling confident. Today might be the day. I proceed to choke at the Chemical Plant boss. I swear, the purple water in Act 2 fucks with my brain more than anything else in the game...

Cars is done. Still one of my favourite Pixar films. How often can you call a rip-off better than the film it stole the plot from?

A ★★★★ review of Cars (2006)
Jesus, I watched this film A LOT when I was a kid. I don't think I saw it in theatres but that DVD I had? It got a lot of runtime... Have you seen Doc Hollywood from 1991? Nope? Then the plot will see...

Funnily enough, despite claiming to be a Pixar loyalist, I'm pretty sure I've only seen single digit number films on the big screen. They've done 29 films as of Elio and there are only six I'm certain I saw and even then, I only saw one partially.

I'm a disgusting liar for Tom and Jerry AND Pixar.

In the shot of the sky after Doc Hudson challenges Lightning McQueen to a race, instead of those trails airplanes leave as they fly over you, there's tire tracks in the sky. I've been watching Cars for 19 years, never noticed that, and I love it...
