When one volunteers for the right causes, you feel the unpleasant nature of oneself lifting away, it not only rejuvenates you but also has far reaching benefits.

It was narrated from Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) wanted to enter the outhouse, he would say: “Allahumma inni a`udhu bika min al-khubthi wa’l-khaba’ith (O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the male and female devils)

It was narrated from `Abdullah ibn Mas`ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “A woman's prayer in her room is better than her prayer in her courtyard, and her prayer in her cabinet is better than her prayer in her room.”

اللهم صل وسلم وبارك على سيدنا محمد

No matter what the outcome is, istikhara gives you peace.

Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "If Allah loves a person, He calls Gabriel, saying, 'Allah loves so and so, O Gabriel love him' So Gabriel would love him and then would make an announcement in the Heavens: 'Allah has loved so and-so therefore you should love him also.' ......

اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ رَبُّ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ، لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ قَيِّمُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ، لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ نُورُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ، قَوْلُكَ الْحَقُّ، وَوَعْدُكَ الْحَقُّ، وَلِقَاؤُكَ حَقٌّ، وَالْجَنَّةُ حَقٌّ، وَالنَّارُ حَقٌّ، وَالسَّاعَةُ حَقٌّ، اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ أَسْلَمْتُ، وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ، وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ، وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْتُ، وَبِكَ خَاصَمْتُ، وَإِلَيْكَ حَاكَمْتُ، فَاغْفِرْ لِي ........

لا إلهَ إلاّ اللّهُ وَحْـدَهُ لا شَـريكَ له،
لهُ المُلـكُ ولهُ الحَمـد،
وهوَ على كلّ شيءٍ قدير،
سُـبْحانَ اللهِ، والحمْـدُ لله،
ولا إلهَ إلاّ اللهُ واللهُ أكبَر،
وَلا حَولَ وَلا قوّة إلاّ باللّهِ العليّ العظيم،
رَبِّ اغْفرْ لي

In Surat Naziaat, Allah clearly tells us that those who prefer this world instead of religious duties will be in Hell. So now it's up to us to make the right choices.
