I fixed my recharge issue with junk I had lying around! I hacked up an old (busted) XBOX One controller and essentially made my own micro USB breakout board out of it. Wired power and ground to the adafruit 1000c and broke out the charging LED of the 1000c and now we be charging! This idiot won.

I know. I just mean, I wish I had more knowledge.

For some fucking reason, my usbc breakout doesn't charge. The internal micro usb on the 1000c works just fine... So I'm either going to just run an extension (link) from the usb micro to the shell edge or try a usbc port that lacks circuitry (pictured).
