Seeing them in ‘94 was crazy. We didn’t know much about them other than the teacher thing. Had no idea what they looked like. Don’t even think we knew there were other albums besides Bee Thousand. Then this guy 20 years older than us started doing leg kicks & twirling the mic around in a coffeeshop.

That guy is crazy talented. I dig Sharp Pins, but lean more towards Lifeguard. Saw Sharp Pins open for the Hard Quartet back in the spring & liked them even better live than on record. Still need to listen to the new one though.

Would be curious if someone younger (than either of us) is out there like, "Man, Warp and Woof is the GOAT of GBV albums". Kinda like "Brain Drain" is close to my favorite Ramones album, just because that's where I started with them.

That's the sweet spot of the catalog for sure. I lucked into getting into them, and seeing them, right after Bee Thousand came out, when I was still a teenager. Love all of the 80's and 90's stuff. I've never heard anything that's bad, there's just so much, and nothing from the 2000s ever wowed me.

I’m curious what your entry point/a ha albums were as a late convert. The classic old stuff? Some newer album?

I had two TVs on in my house and a crew that was installing a new washing machine when that alert got pushed. Had like 6 devices go off at once. But I had the same thought - the guy is on foot in GA? No chance I'd see him in Raleigh for several days.
