When the best case scenario is mass hysteria... not as much of a mic drop as you were hoping.

I remember arguing this point to a vendor once. Their reply was “we agreed to WCAG conformance, not ARIA conformance.” And “we can’t account for every screen reader.” 🤦‍♂️ I got them to fix the issue in the long run, but explaining the fault in that logic was exhausting.
