Are You Suffocating Your Trees With Mulch?
“Volcano mulching” suffocates your tree.
Here’s what you need to know: Always keep mulch 3-6 inches away from the base of your tree. The root flare—the spot where the trunk widens at ground level—needs to breathe!

We had to say goodbye to our beloved Kiki — my sweet Garden Girl. 🌿🐾
She came into our lives in 2012, a little feral tortoiseshell who decided we were her Cat Dads.
We’ll miss her patrolling the raised beds, and sleeping between our pillows.
Rest easy, sweet girl. 💚🌿

BUTTERSCOTCH SAPODILLA
This might be my favorite fruit. This one is the biggest yet, and I'm checking for ripeness daily. I can't wait! 😋 There are several others on the tree.
I'm air layering it to propagate another tree.

How exciting to watch the cycles of nature in a pesticide-free garden! The less we interfere with her, the better nature can take care of herself. 💪🌿
