Still curious how many fly ball fielders choices or singles on the infield have been recorded in baseball history.
Because again, you could fake the runners out with that if you are a good actor.

It’s all good. I hope he does go off starting tomorrow and gets a long contract. But his post all star performance makes me question a long term contract.

But again, it was 3 months. If he was struggling that much because of injury, he should have said “coach, I’m hurting and need some time off” and sat for 2 weeks.

Of course if he hits 2 bombs and the cubs come back to win the series and he leads the offense through the blvd and into the World Series, then everything is forgiven.
It’s also not like he’s been super clutch so far in the postseason, 2 games with hits?

Injuries are also a concern with him. It seems he and the cubs training staff couldn’t get on the same page.

It was 3 months. July he had a .675 ops, August .735, what little he played in September he had a .516 ops.

There is zero chance he gets a long term contract. He will get something like Bregman or bellinger got when he resigned with the cubs.

That would be Ian Happ. Happ is great, as the 4th best player on the team.

Happ isn’t getting a 10 year $400 million contract though.
That’s what Tucker is looking for. 5 years and $150 million, sure I’d do that deal for Tucker. But not 10.
